Warsaw Chopin is a single compact terminal building split into Schengen and non-Schengen piers, making it a relatively easy hub built around LOT Polish Airlines' connecting banks. The layout keeps walking distances short, but tight passport/security choke points at pier junctions can slow things down during peak banks. All piers connect via a single continuous terminal corridor, so there are no trains or shuttle buses required at WAW. Passengers moving between Schengen and non-Schengen piers pass through internal passport/security checkpoints, which is where most of the connection time is actually spent rather than in walking distance.
