SEA is a manageable hub built around a central terminal with two satellite concourses reached by an underground train, making most connections straightforward if you know which system to use. Alaska Airlines dominates the complex with tightly banked flights, while international arrivals funnel through a dedicated facility that can add time for connecting passengers. The Satellite Transit System (SATS), an underground automated train, connects the Central Terminal to both the North and South Satellites in about 2-3 minutes of ride time, though walking to and from platforms adds more. Concourses A through D in the Central Terminal are linked by a long connected walkway. International arrivals processed at the IAF (adjacent to Concourse A/South Satellite) require passing through Global Entry/CBP and, for onward connections, a rescreening security checkpoint before continuing to domestic gates.
