We recommend at least 40 minutes for a comfortable connection at Fukuoka. The minimum connection time is 35 minutes for domestic flights and 100 minutes for international flights. Transit between terminals takes up to 30 minutes.

Fukuoka Airport separates its Domestic and International Terminals into two distinct buildings that are not walkable to each other, which makes international connections notably more cumbersome than domestic ones. Domestic-to-domestic transfers within Terminals 1-2-3 are quick and well-signed, but any itinerary touching the International Terminal requires a shuttle bus ride plus immigration/customs and security procedures. Domestic Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are interconnected by covered walkways and moving sidewalks, making domestic-domestic transfers a short walk. Between the Domestic and International Terminals, passengers use a free shuttle bus (roughly 10-15 minutes depending on traffic) or the Fukuoka City Subway (a few minutes' ride but requiring a fare gate exit/entry and a walk on each end); either route demands full security and immigration re-screening for international-bound or international-arriving passengers.
