Salt Lake City International is a major Delta Air Lines hub built around a single unified terminal that opened in 2020, making domestic-to-domestic connections relatively painless via wide concourses and moving walkways. The complication comes with international arrivals, which must clear a separate federal inspection facility and, if connecting onward, recheck bags and go back through security before reaching the domestic concourses. Concourses A and B are linked by an underground pedestrian tunnel equipped with moving walkways, taking about 12-15 minutes gate to gate under normal conditions. Passengers arriving internationally must exit through the International Arrivals Facility, clear CBP, collect and recheck bags if connecting, then pass back through TSA screening to reach either concourse, adding significant extra time.
