Nice Côte d'Azur is a leisure-and-business airport split into two physically separate terminals (T1 and T2) with no landside walking path between them, making connections slower than the passenger numbers might suggest. It's not a true hub for any carrier, so connecting itineraries are less common and less optimized than at network hubs, but domestic-to-domestic connections within the same terminal can be quick. A free shuttle bus (Navette T1-T2) links the two terminals in about 8-10 minutes, running every 10-15 minutes, but total transfer time including walking to the stop, waiting, and walking to the new gate can reach 20-25 minutes. Passengers connecting between terminals, or between Schengen and non-Schengen flights within the same terminal, must clear a fresh security and/or passport control checkpoint, as NCE does not have a sterile inter-terminal transit corridor.
