We recommend at least 50 minutes for a comfortable connection at Orlando International. The minimum connection time is 45 minutes for domestic flights and 100 minutes for international flights. Transit between terminals takes up to 35 minutes.

MCO is a large leisure-driven airport built primarily for point-to-point traffic to and from Central Florida theme parks, not as a traditional connecting hub, so signage, staffing, and gate proximity aren't optimized for tight connections. Terminal C, opened in 2022, is physically separate from the original Terminal A/B complex, adding walking or shuttle time for anyone connecting between the two. International connections are especially slow because MCO lacks a sterile international transit area, forcing arriving international passengers through immigration, customs, and a full recheck. Within the original complex, an automated people mover shuttles passengers between the main terminal and each Airside (1-4) in about 2-3 minutes each way, but each Airside has its own security checkpoint you must clear. Moving between Terminal A/B and the newer Terminal C requires either a covered walkway (about 15-20 minutes on foot) or a shuttle bus, and international arrivals must fully exit through customs/immigration before rechecking bags and re-clearing security for any onward flight.
