Luxor International is a small, single-terminal airport built primarily for tourist arrivals to the Valley of the Kings, not for transit traffic. Connections are rare, informal, and poorly supported by infrastructure — most passengers are on direct charter or EgyptAir flights rather than itineraries requiring a change of plane here. There is effectively one terminal building with domestic and international flights processed through shared but separately staffed check-in and gate areas. Passengers connecting between an international arrival and a domestic or international departure must exit through immigration/customs, collect bags, and re-check in, as there is no airside transfer desk or through-baggage system for most itineraries.
