We recommend at least 1 hour for a comfortable connection at Kuwait International. The minimum connection time is 45 minutes for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights. Transit between terminals takes up to 35 minutes.

Kuwait International is transitioning around its massive new Terminal 2, which now handles Kuwait Airways and most international traffic, while Jazeera Airways still operates from the separate Terminal 4 and some flights still use the older Terminal 1. Connections within the new terminal are fairly smooth, but transfers between terminals require a shuttle ride and often a fresh security and immigration process, since KWI lacks the seamless airside transit infrastructure of hubs like Dubai or Doha. Passengers connecting within Terminal 2 can walk between gates in its single large concourse, but moving to or from Terminal 4 (Jazeera Airways) or the older Terminal 1 requires a landside or airside shuttle bus and re-clearing security, and in many cases immigration as well. There is no unified sterile transit corridor linking all three terminals, so inter-terminal connections should be treated as a full re-entry process rather than a simple walk.
