Mohammed V International is Royal Air Maroc's primary hub and the connection point for its extensive Africa-Europe-Americas network, but the airport's layout and processing speed lag behind the airline's ambitions. Passengers connecting here should expect crowded immigration and security checkpoints, frequent bus-to-gate operations, and a general lack of the streamlined transfer infrastructure found at major European or Gulf hubs. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are linked by a covered walkway that takes roughly 10-15 minutes on foot, though queues and crowding can slow this considerably. Many aircraft, especially widebodies and regional flights, park on remote stands requiring a bus transfer to and from the terminal, adding 10-20 minutes and unpredictability. International arrivals must clear Moroccan passport control even when transiting, and there is no dedicated sterile transit corridor, so security re-screening applies whenever moving between terminals or after landside processing.
