We recommend at least 1 hour for a comfortable connection at Barcelona. The minimum connection time is 45 minutes for schengen flights and 65 minutes for non-schengen flights. Transit between terminals takes up to 35 minutes.

Barcelona-El Prat is split into two large, physically separate terminals, and connections that require moving between T1 and T2 add real time and stress since only a shuttle bus links them landside. Within a single terminal, especially T1, connections are relatively smooth, but Vueling's hub operations and heavy low-cost traffic in T2 make peak-hour transfers tight. T1 and T2 are connected only by a free shuttle bus that runs every 10-15 minutes and takes about 10-15 minutes each way, plus walking and waiting time on both ends. Because the terminals are landside-separated, any transfer between them means exiting and re-clearing security, and Schengen/non-Schengen boundaries within T1 add another screening layer for many itineraries.
